Our little Nemo was born at home on 28th October 2006 and weighed a healthy 18 ounces. He didn’t have many markings at birth, except for those on his head and top of his tail…and so far, this has not changed. One thing that has changed though is he has grown so quickly!
Having the advantage of living with his mummy (China), Nemo was more often than not, found curled up asleep with his mum in her bed. He did love his mum and this was so evident to see. Something he has passed on to his off-spring, who were always trying to get as close as they could to him on his favourite bed.
Nemo had an excellent show career. He won numerous Best Puppy In Breed, as well as many excellent aged and adult class placings, culminating with his first Challenge Certificate under Ray Scholes (Rossgilde); his second CC under Patsy Hollings (Gunalt) and his third and crowning CC under Ron Twyman (Bracendown) – making him a UK Show Champion.
He was also been campaigned in Ireland and won many Green Stars and Reserve Green Stars – many with Best of Breed and some group placings too, including a group 1 at Killarney and a group 3 in Clonmel. The total of all his winnings in Ireland means that Nemo achieved his Irish Show Champion title.
In Europe, Nemo has did exceptionally well – winning CACs (like our CCs) and CACIBs (international CCs), earning a collection of silverware to be proud of. Because of his wins at the Dortmund and Leeuwarden Centenary Winners Dog Show, Nemo also achieved the status of an FCI International Show Champion, a Centenary Show Champion and a Centenary European Winner (with some other titles too).
Nemo his retirement at home with us and 3 of his off-spring, Vespa, Candi and Kylo, until he sadly passed away on 20th August 2020.
Nemo was a very special Pointer and will always be cherished and dearly missed. xxxx
