Here’s a quick guide to COI and ALC:
What is COI? The Coefficient of Inbreeding estimates how genetically similar the sire and dam are. Lower COI = greater genetic diversity.
What is ALC? The Ancestor Loss Coefficient measures how many unique ancestors appear in a pedigree. Higher ALC = more unique ancestors.
For a full explanation of COI and ALC see here.
All calculations are based on the depth and completeness of the pedigrees in the database. As new dogs and historical lines are added, results may update over time.
